HOLLIDAYSBURG – A hearing is scheduled for today in Blair County court to review the proposed sale of the former Curtin Elementary School, 2914 W. Chestnut Ave.

The Altoona Area School District recently filed a petition with the court, asking for a review of its intentions to sell the structure to Rebecca Reese at $140,100. In the petition, Solicitor David P. Andrews advises the court of efforts made to sell the structure and why the price is acceptable.

The building has been idle since August 2013.
