Weis Markets Inc. on Tuesday reported earnings of $22.9 million in its second quarter, compared to $25.28 million in 2025, a 9.6% decrease. On a per-share basis, the Sunbury, Pennsylvania-based company said it had net income of 92 cents. NEW YORK — The U.S. stock market rallied to the edge of its all-time high on Monday after easing oil prices helped calm Wall Street’s worries that inflation could get even worse. Ticker: Dollar weakens sharply against Japanese yen

The U.S. dollar has weakened sharply against the Japanese yen after U.S. President Donald Trump and Japan’s finance minister confirmed both sides had intervened in markets. Before late last week, the dollar was trading above 163 yen, touching 40-year highs. It fell below 160 yen after regulators were suspected of stepping in.
