McDonald’s posted a strong profit in its second quarter and named a new head of the U.S. market with sales at home under pressure as many Americans grow increasingly cautious about spending. Weis Markets Inc. on Tuesday reported earnings of $22.9 million in its second quarter, compared to $25.28 million in 2025, a 9.6% decrease. On a per-share basis, the Sunbury, Pennsylvania-based company said it had net income of 92 cents.
