Sheetz Inc. raised $1,249,710 during its in-store giving campaign this past July for Sheetz For the Kidz.
The record-breaking total marks Sheetz For the Kidz's largest monthly fundraising effort to date and the second consecutive year the organization has surpassed $1 million during its annual July campaign.
Every year, during the months of July and December, customers at all Sheetz's 850-plus stores can donate to Sheetz For the Kidz at checkout, either through donation boxes or by adding a gift to their purchase. These funds support local kids in need with clothes, toys and more through the Sheetz For the Kidz Holiday Program in partnership with The Salvation Army.
Last year, customers raised more than $2.4 million for children in need through in-store fundraising in July and December. The donations helped make the holiday season brighter for over 13,400 children within the seven states Sheetz operates. Created in 1992, the charity has positively impacted more than 195,000 children living within Sheetz's footprint to date.

Giant Company dropping hot bar prices
Just in time for back-to-school and the return of busy family schedules, The Giant Company announced it is dropping in-store hot bar prices by 10% and introducing several new menu options.
The price of hot bar items will decrease from $9.99 per pound to $8.99 per pound, while new offerings including Korean BBQ chicken, cilantro lime rice, creamed corn with bacon and mashed sweet potatoes will provide customers with even more fresh and flavorful meal options to choose from.
Hot bars are currently offered at 188 Giant and Martin's stores and operate from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for lunch and 4 to 7 p.m. for dinner.
Prepared fresh each day, the selection of hot bar items varies by store and includes offerings like hand-breaded fried chicken available daily, mac and cheese, BBQ chicken, meatloaf, General Tso's chicken, sesame orange chicken, pepper steak, vegetable fried rice, lasagna, penne pasta and more.
