Briefcase: Nominations open for Centre County awards

The Chamber of Business & Industry of Centre County has opened nominations for the 2026 Centre County Business Awards, presented by Stuckey Automotive. These awards recognize local businesses and individuals whose work strengthens the economy and enhances the quality of life across the region.

The Centre County Business Awards is a cornerstone event recognizing outstanding achievement through a peer-led nomination and selection process

The six awards categories are: Nonprofit of the Year; ATHENA Champion Leadership Award; Emerging Business of the Year; Small Business of the Year; Business Leader of the Year; and Business of the Year.

The deadline to submit a nomination is 5 p.m. Aug. 21.

CCNB Bank receives Federal Home Loan Bank award

The Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh announced Clearfield-based CNB Bank as the West Region 2026 winner of the Pillars of the Community Award.

The Pillars of the Community Awards are presented to member financial institutions that have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to community development. Awardees have also demonstrated exemplary efforts and effective use of FHLBank’s community products. This award is FHLBank’s highest organizational honor and is presented annually to select FHLBank members in recognition of their commitment to community revitalization.

In 2025, CNB Bank utilized several FHLBank community investment products, including Banking On Business, First Front Door and Blueprint Communities, to support affordable housing initiatives, local businesses and community development projects in their region.
