Hummingbird Therapy receives award
Hummingbird ABA Therapy of State College has been selected as a recipient of the 2026 Governor’s Achievement Award, presented by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry at the annual conference of the Pennsylvania Workforce Development Association.
The Governor’s Achievement Award recognizes Pennsylvania employers that demonstrate exceptional commitment to workforce, community and economic development through partnerships with the commonwealth’s workforce development system and specifically, the PA CareerLink network.
Founded by board-certified behavior analyst Julie Angstadt, Hummingbird ABA Therapy was created to address the growing need for neurodiversity-affirming applied behavior analysis services for children with autism in central Pennsylvania. At a time when many families face waitlists of two to three years for service, the organization has expanded access to care while creating sustainable careers in behavioral health.
