Brian Wiser

New hires and promotions

Brian Wiser has been promoted to Director of Transportation at Keller Engineers Inc.

In this role, Wiser will provide client services and lead the division’s four departments, department supervisors, and the transportation team.

Brian began his career at Keller Engineers as a college intern in 1995. Over the past 30 years, he has consistently demonstrated outstanding engineering and leadership abilities, while cultivating strong client relationships.

Josiah Jones has been appointed as executive director of the Moshannon Valley Economic Development Partnership.

As executive director, Jones will oversee the MVEDP’s strategic initiatives, business retention and expansion programs, industrial park development, and regional marketing efforts. He will also work closely with local, county, and state partners to attract new investment and support the long-term economic health of the Moshannon Valley.

Michelle Buttry has been promoted to chief executive officer of Conemaugh Nason Medical Center.

Buttry brings more than 30 years of dedicated service to Conemaugh Nason and the surrounding community. Most recently serving as chief operating officer and previously as chief nursing officer, she has played a key role in advancing patient safety, quality of care, and operational excellence. She is native of southern Bedford County.

Jill Ausherman has been promoted by Reliance Bank to Vice President, Director of Credit. She will be succeeding Jay Hummer, who retired this month, after a distinguished 40-year career in banking.

Ausherman joined Reliance Bank in November 2023 as Credit Manager. Before joining Reliance Bank, she served as Vice President, Commercial Portfolio Manager for Truist Bank in State College and has amassed over 20 years of experience in retail and commercial banking roles.

Retirements

Joe Sloan of Huntingdon retired from his position aschief financial officer, vice president, secretary and treasurer with Mutual Benefit Group on Dec. 31 after 42 years of service.

Sloan accepted a position as treasurer with Mutual Benefit Group in 1983 and was named a vice president in 1994. In 2008, he was named chief financial officer for Mutual Benefit. He continued to serve as vice president and Treasurer for the organization through the rest of his tenure.

Jill Ausherman

Prior to joining Mutual Benefit Group, Joe was a certified public accountant with Mills & Kimlin, CPA, in Johnstown.
