SFU sets business webinar

The Saint Francis University Small Business Development Center and Somerset Trust Company have scheduled a free pre-business planning webinar for 4 p.m. Jan. 28. This free, online webinar is for people who are interested in opening and operating their own business.

Topics to be discussed are feasibility issues, marketing, recordkeeping, business plans, legal issues, regulations, taxes and financing.

Clover Creek wins ribbons

Clover Creek Cheese Cellar of Williamsburg received two second-place ribbons at the 2026 Pennsylvania Farm Show in Harrisburg. Clover Creek competed with other award-winning cheesemakers, which included Goat Rodeo Farm & Dairy, the Farm at Doe Run and Birchrun Hills Farm.

The judges award entries in each of the 11 different categories. Clover Creek’s Winemakers Select cheese placed second in the Flavored Cheese category, while Grateful Ched placed second in the Cheddar, Colby and Jack category.

Winemakers Select is a cow’s milk Manchego-style cheese marinated in Cabernet Sauvignon from Grandview Winery in Mount Joy, and Grateful Ched is an aged cheddar marinated in a barleywine beer from East End Brewing in Pittsburgh.
