MBG honors Inner Circle
Mutual Benefit Group announced that 25 agency partners have qualified for Inner Circle based on 2025 business results. MBG has been rewarding agents who demonstrate exceptional customer service, consistent growth and profitability via the Inner Circle Program since 1993.

Restaurants honor founder
On Monday, all Texas Roadhouse, Bubba's 33 and Jaggers locations invite the public to a fundraiser to support the American Tinnitus Association. To honor the company's late founder, Kent Taylor, the restaurants will donate 100% of all profits on Feb. 2 to the organization.
More than 26 million adults in the United States battle tinnitus. While commonly referred to as "ringing in the ears," tinnitus can manifest many different perceptions of sound, including buzzing, hissing, whistling, swooshing and clicking. Tinnitus is the perception of sound when no actual external noise is present.
UGI seeks rate increase
UGI Utilities Inc. - Gas Division has filed a request with the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission to increase its base rates for residential, commercial and industrial customers by $99.4 million annually. The proposed increase would recover UGI's investment in system upgrades and maintain safe and reliable natural gas service.
If approved, the total monthly bill for a residential heating customer using 68.7 ccf per month would increase from $113.64 to $123.55 per month or by 8.7%. A commercial heating customer using 26.8 mcf per month would increase from $336.74 to $358.17 per month or by 6.4%.
These estimates apply to customers who purchase their gas commodity from UGI. Customers utilizing an alternate natural gas supplier may see differing impacts. The UGI rate increase request would impact only the distribution charge portion of the customer's bill.
