Air Service Alliance seeking contributions
The State College Air Service Alliance -- a strategic partnership between the Chamber of Business & Industry of Centre County, Centre County Airport Authority, The Happy Valley Adventure Bureau and Penn State University -- is encouraging individuals and businesses to support regional air service by contributing to the Fly State College Fund.
The fund directly supports air service growth and provides opportunities for community investment in reliable, competitive air service at State College Regional Airport.
Contributions to the Fly State College Fund can be made online at www.flystatecollege.com, or by mailing checks payable to the Fly State College Fund to the CBICC office at 131 S. Fraser Street, Suite 1, State College, PA 16801.

Lezzer Lumber expands to Pittsburgh region
Lezzer Lumber has announced the acquisition of H.P. Starr and Brookside Lumber, a family-owned building materials company serving the greater Pittsburgh region for nearly a century.
The addition of these three locations -- Bethel Park, Zelienople and Valencia -- strengthens Lezzer Lumber's presence in western Pennsylvania and enhances service capabilities for professional contractors, remodelers and DIY customers across the region.
The acquisition follows Lezzer Lumber's 2024 purchase of Trinity Supply & Installation in Pittsburgh, bringing its total number of lumberyards to 15 statewide.
BEDFORD
Hometown Bank donation to support students
Hometown Bank of PA recently provided a $125,000 Educational Improvement Tax Credit donation to the Bedford County Regional Education Foundation. The contribution opens the doors to educational opportunities for high school students participating in the Early College program at the ACM Bedford County Campus.
The bank's donation, along with ETIC contributions from ECM Insurance Group and other local businesses, will cover the cost of tuition, fees and books for all credits taken during the 2025-26 academic year by early college students residing in any of the Bedford and Fulton County School
Districts as well as Claysburg-Kimmel, Spring Cove, Williamsburg and Fannett-Metal School Districts and who take ACM classes in their high schools, at the ACM Bedford County Campus or online.
