New hires and promotions

Michael Johnson has joined Keller Engineers Inc. as bridge inspection team leader.

With over 20 years of experience, Johnson brings a wealth of knowledge in leading bridge inspection teams, conducting scheduled inspections, generating reports, training and responding to emergency situations involving bridges and public safety. In addition to holding an associate degree in architectural drafting from Triangle Tech, he is a certified bridge safety inspector and has completed numerous bridge safety trainings.

Awards and honors

Celina Seftas, director of sustainability at Juniata College, has been appointed to the board of directors of Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful.

Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful works with communities, businesses and government agencies to promote litter prevention, waste reduction and beautification efforts statewide. The addition of these new board members reflects the organization's ongoing commitment to building strong partnerships and fostering innovative solutions for a cleaner, greener Pennsylvania.

Marissa Davis was recently presented with the Volunteer of the Year Award by the Huntingdon County Chamber.

Davis was chosen for the award, which has been given annually since 2001, via a nomination process by members of the community.

Davis has been a dedicated volunteer with the Huntingdon County Chamber for more than a decade, where she also serves on the Board of Directors and as chair of the Education Committee.

Michael J. Wagner, Esquire, has been recognized for 20 consecutive years by Super Lawyers for his outstanding legal achievements.

Wagner has demonstrated excellence in the practice of law year after year. No more than five percent of Pennsylvania attorneys receive this honor each year. Super Lawyers are outstanding attorneys in Pennsylvania who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Wagner concentrates his practice on Workers' Compensation and Employment Law.

Miscellaneous

Dr. George Cummings of Conemaugh Nason Medical Center recently completed his 500th robotic-assisted surgery. The milestone procedure was a robotic-assisted laparoscopic hernia repair.

Cummings began performing robotic-assisted surgeries at Conemaugh Nason in March 2023 and reached this extraordinary milestone in just 2.5 years, a testament to both his skill and the hospital's commitment to advancing surgical care in the community. He performs a wide range of minimally invasive robotic-assisted procedures, including laparoscopic inguinal and ventral hernia repairs, cholecystectomies (gallbladder removals) and colon surgeries.
