Briefcase: Business news of local interest

AT&T adds new cell sites

AT&T has added new cell sites across Pennsylvania to enhance the state’s 5G wireless coverage and capacity, enabling residents, businesses and public safety on FirstNet to get the most out of their mobile devices.

Regionally, Cambria County received a new site in Westmont near St. Clair Road and Westmont Hilltop High School.

Clearfield County also has a new site at Treasure Lake around Bay Road, Caymans Road and San Andres Road.

Other counties receiving new sites are Berks, Butler, Chester, Cumberland, Franklin, Lebanon, Lehigh, Monroe, Montour, Northumberland, Tioga, Wayne and Westmoreland.

“These new sites will give our first responders the mobile broadband connections they need to keep our communities safe and respond to emergencies. No other carrier has a dedicated network like FirstNet,” said David Kerr, president, AT&T Pennsylvania and West Virginia. “What’s more, these new sites give more Pennsylvanians more access to mobile connectivity they need.”
