SFU sets business webinar

Saint Francis University Small Business Development Center and Somerset Trust Company have scheduled a free pre-business planning webinar for 4 p.m. Dec. 3. This free, online seminar is for people who are interested in opening and operating their own business.    

Topics to be discussed are feasibility issues, marketing, recordkeeping, business plans, legal issues, regulations, taxes and financing.

Lung nodule clinic opens

In recognition of Lung Cancer Awareness Month, Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center has announced the opening of its new Lung Nodule Clinic — an innovative clinic focused on the early detection, rapid diagnosis and advanced care for patients with lung nodules or suspected lung cancer. This new clinic represents a major step forward in improving lung health outcomes for the community.

The Lung Nodule Clinic brings together a team of specialists in oncology, cardiothoracic surgery, radiation oncology and pathology to provide patients with personalized, cutting-edge care. By prioritizing quick evaluations, utilizing state-of-the-art robotic bronchoscopy for precise tissue sampling and offering dedicated support through Conemaugh’s Lung Health Nurse Navigator, the clinic is designed to give patients the best possible outcomes with minimal delay.

Manor under new owners

St. Benedict Manor, a personal care home and secure memory unit in St. Benedict, is under new ownership.

A celebration to mark Brock and Alyssa Kauffman taking over as owners will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Food truck vendors will be available.
