Butcher shop opens
Country Side Processing is now open for business at 8785 William Penn Road in the former Slick's Ivy Stone Restaurant building. The restaurant closed in 2022.
Owned by JoAnn Fisher, Country Side Processing is a family-owned butcher shop and eatery which specializes in butcher services, retail fresh meat, daily breakfast and lunch specials, various produce and in-house baked goods.
A grand opening event, held in conjunction with JARI, is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 27, with all-day specials and giveaways from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Caramel Afternoon Pastry & Catering is open for business at 214 E. Calder Way.
Caramel Afternoon is a gathering place where guests can enjoy pastries made from scratch, sandwiches and specialty drinks including espresso and non-espresso options. The shop offers wifi for working or studying and a cozy atmosphere.
Business hours are 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Saturday and 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.

DelGrosso's Harvestfest set
Harvestfest will be held Saturday and Sunday at DelGrosso's Park.
The park grounds open at 8 a.m., with craft and food vendor shopping beginning at 10 a.m. and rides opening at 11 a.m. both days. On Saturday, vendors close at 7 p.m. and the park closes at 7 p.m. On Sunday, vendors close at 6:30 p.m. and the park closes at 7 p.m.
Harvestfest will feature more than 150 craft and food vendors. Fall food favorites like apple dumplings, pierogis, soups, fried treats and so much more are all on the menu. An $8 admission fee includes rides and entertainment. Children under 24 months are free. Season pass holders get free admission into Harvestfest when they show their valid season pass ID at any admission entrance.
