WPSU-FM honored with multiple awards for outstanding journalism

STATE COLLEGE -- WPSU-FM is the recipient of multiple state and national awards for outstanding work in radio journalism, including honors for use of sound and environmental reporting.
The station received a 2025 Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters award and three awards from the Public Media Journalists Association (PMJA), reflecting WPSU-FM's commitment to high-quality, community-centered reporting.
Among the PMJA honors, news director Emily Reddy earned first place for her use of sound and reporter Anne Danahy was given second place for her feature story that explored climate and environmental themes at the PA Firefly Festival.
Program aids nonprofits
Kish Bank and Giv Local have shared the latest results of their Community Gifting Program, which recently completed its fifth year of providing dedicated financial support for community nonprofits.
In its fifth year, the program directed a total of $64,475 in donations to 133 community nonprofit organizations, with nearly 200 local businesses participating in the program. Kish and Giv Local's Community Gifting Program gives Kish Bank business customers the ability to "gift back" to local nonprofits of their choosing at no extra cost to them.
