Sheetz has teamed up with Liquid Death, one of the fastest-growing non-alcoholic beverage brands, to launch the "Sheetz x Liquid Death Chainsaw-Sliced Sandwich Experience" Friday, July 25, at a select location in Pittsburgh, where influencer Jenna Ceriani -- better known as Chainsaw Jenna -- will be on-site slicing sandwiches with a high-powered chainsaw.
While the Pittsburgh event will run from 2 to 5 p.m., customers who purchase an MTO sandwich at any Sheetz location will receive $2 off a Liquid Death 19.2-ounce water or tea. The offer, good all day, must be added in the Sheetz app under the OFFERZ tab.
To celebrate this collaboration, Sheetz and Liquid Death have also dropped an exclusive line of limited-edition "Sandwich Slayer" merchandise at SheetzShop.com.
Penn Highlands Healthcare CEO testifies
Steven M. Fontaine, Penn Highlands Healthcare CEO, recently was a member of a five-person panel testifying on the issue of hospital closures, staffing shortages and access to specialty care in Pennsylvania before the Senate Institutional Sustainability and Innovation Committee in Harrisburg.
Fontaine said the nine hospitals in the Penn Highlands Healthcare system contribute more than $1.9 billion to the Pennsylvania economy and are among the largest employers in the communities they serve, employing more than 6,500 individuals.
"Our hospitals, especially those in rural communities, are the life blood of those local communities and local economies because in many cases we are the largest employers," Fontaine stated.
