Military Families Ministry donation drive under way
Military Families Ministry USA Inc. has launched its fifth annual summer donation drive that runs the month of July and supports local homeless veterans and deployed troops. MFM is partnering with the VA Hospital/Homeless Veteran program this year and will provide backpacks for distribution to homeless veterans in their program and will ship care packages with snacks and personal care items to deployed troops.
Donations can be dropped at the following locations: in Bellwood at the Bellwood-Antis Public Library, Mayhue's Garage and Cosmic Charlie's Coffee House; in Altoona at The DeGol Organization and ARC Federal Credit Union, both locations, and M&T Bank, FSC 31 W. Plank Road; and in Tyrone at Mac's Meat Market and Kelly Wike's State Farm Office.
Monetary donations will be used to purchase additional items and to cover shipping costs. Donations can be made online at the Military Families Ministry website, militaryfamiliesministry.com, or send a check payable to MFM USA and mail it to 338 S. Third St., Bellwood, PA 16617.
