Sheetz will kick off its annual month of in-store fundraising today to support Sheetz for the Kidz, an employee-driven charity supporting children in need.

In July, customers at Sheetz's 770-plus stores throughout Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia and Michigan can support local children in need. They can do this by making a donation at the check-out at any Sheetz through change boxes or adding funds to their purchase at the point of sale.

Last year, customers raised more than $1.81 million for children in need through in-store fundraising in July and December.

Created in 1992, the charity has positively impacted more than 182,000 children living within Sheetz's footprint to date.
