CareerLink sets job fair

PA CareerLink Blair County will host a job fair April 17 at the Jaffa Shrine, 2200 Broad Ave.

More than 90 employers will be on-site and ready to talk with job seekers about real, immediate openings across a wide range of industries — from health care and manufacturing to retail, education and logistics.

Veterans will have early access from 9:30 to 10 a.m. with the general public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is free to attend.

Many employers will be conducting on-the-spot interviews, so job seekers are encouraged to dress professionally and bring multiple copies of your resume.

F.N.B. acquires banking firm

F.N.B. Corp. and its wholly owned broker dealer subsidiary has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Raptor Partners LLC, an independent investment banking firm focused on delivering financial advisory services to public and private companies.

Raptor, a Pittsburgh-based company, is comprised of a team of experienced professionals with an emphasis in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, valuation advisory and private capital raising. Upon closing, Raptor will contribute to F.N.B.’s ongoing strategy to grow and diversify non-interest income with significant capital markets capabilities.

Horseshoe Curve gets grant

The Railroaders Heritage Corp. has been awarded a $20,000 grant from America250PA’s first Semiquincentennial Grant Round to support the installation of an 80-foot lighted flagpole at the Horseshoe Curve.

The installation will serve as both a visual landmark and an educational enhancement for the thousands of visitors who explore the site each year.
