Sourceree receives contract

The PRISM contract procured by General Services Administration on behalf of the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness is designed to bolster the readiness and operational efficiency of the Department of Defense, and includes a one-year base period and four option years with a $1.8 billion ceiling. The contract aims to provide comprehensive support in technical analysis and software development with a focus on meeting mission-critical requirements.

Conservation company's leak detector made in US Fluid Conservation Systems, a State College-based water conservation company, announced its leak detector, the PermaNET SU, is now being made in the United States, enabling water authorities across the state to access federal funds to purchase it.
More than 7 billion gallons of drinking water are lost each day through leaks in the country's water systems. The PermaNET SU helps water utilities conserve drinking water by detecting leaks in their pipes. The PermaNET SU uses acoustic technology to listen each night for leaks, and when it detects a leak, it sends an alert and pinpoints the location so crews know where to dig.
Fluid Conservation Systems moved the production of the PermaNET SU from abroad to State College to meet the made-in-America requirements of the Build America Buy America Act from 2021. The PermaNET SU is the only leak detector that is being made in America.
