Job fair set for Jaffa center

PA CareerLink Blair County will host a job fair from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 17 at the Jaffa Shrine Center, Altoona. The event is open to the public; the first half hour is reserved for veterans.

This job fair is being held in association with Altoona Blair County Development Corp., Blair County Chamber of Commerce, Greater Altoona Career & Technology Center and Southern Alleghenies Workforce Development Board.

More than 100 area employers from all industries will be recruiting at this job fair, some offering "on the spot" hires.

Senior Living to change hands

Presbyterian Senior Living and Continuum Healthcare Inc. have announced an agreement for the transfer of ownership of Windy Hill Village, Phillipsburg.

Dan Davis, president and CEO of PSL, said the sale of Windy Hill Village is part of the company's strategic plan to invest more resources into Life Plan Communities.

PSL and Continuum Healthcare have executed an Asset Purchase Agreement for Windy Hill Village. Closing is expected in the summer of 2024.

PSL has owned and operated Windy Hill Village since 2003. The community has 90 skilled nursing beds, 18 personal care beds and five independent living rental cottages.

Breezeline to launch mobile

Breezeline plans to launch mobile phone service across its service areas starting in spring 2024.

Breezeline Mobile will be available to Breezeline internet customers in the 13 states served by Breezeline, said company President Frank van der Post. Plans will include unlimited nationwide talk and text, combined with by-the-gig or unlimited data.

The Breezeline Mobile offering is flexible, allowing customers to customize their services, including mixing and matching unlimited and by-the-gig plans on a per-line basis. Customers can bring their existing mobile devices to Breezeline Mobile.
