Stuckey to purchase Delaney Nissan
Stuckey Automotive intends to purchase Delaney Nissan of State College.
Delaney Nissan of State College, 3280 West College Ave., owned by the Delaney Automotive Group, will resume all operations until the transaction is expected to close later this spring. The dealership, which will be known as Stuckey Nissan of State College, will mark Stuckey Automotive's seventh location.
"Jack (Delaney) and I have known each other for years. He's aware that I've been looking for new opportunities to expand, especially in Centre County. When he proposed an offer, I thought it was a brilliant move worth pursuing," said Matt Stuckey, President of Stuckey Automotive.
"We're in the early stages of a typical dealership buy-sell agreement," said Jack Delaney. "Our focus is to continue caring for our customers and our employees."
Stuckey Automotive intends to offer employment to all employees of Delaney Nissan of State College.

1889 Foundation grants $500K to Hosanna Industries Inc.
1889 Foundation is continuing its support of Hosanna Industries Inc. and the 2024 Johnstown Resurrection Project. The foundation granted $500,000 that will provide substantial housing repair, rehabilitation, improvement and new construction, when necessary, for homeowners in need.
This is the third year Hosanna Industries is continuing its work in Johnstown. Through 1889 Foundation's past support of $1 million, which helped to leverage an additional $4.7 million from other funding sources, Hosanna has completed more than 100 home repair projects for homeowners in need.
With the foundation's recent grant, Hosanna has a goal of completing at least 25 additional home repairs in Johnstown this year.
In 2023, 25 home repair projects were completed within the city limits. Work included window replacements, vinyl siding, interior and exterior painting, new flooring, bathroom remodels and more.
Hosanna Industries had residual funding remaining at the end of September 2023, which initiated the "Hope for the Holidays" program. Families in need were provided with specific items like furnaces, hot water tanks, stoves, refrigerators, washers and dryers.
