New hires and promotions
Olivia Pietrolungo has been named as marketing coordinator at Curry Supply Co. Pietrolungo, a recent graduate of Saint Francis University, will be involved in the planning, creation and execution of social media posts. She will assist the marketing team on various tasks and strategic planning. She will help plan events and see them through and will also be in charge of monitoring social media analytics and building brand awareness.
Brooke Jones has been named as human resource manager at Curry Supply Co. In her position, Jones, a native of Carrolltown, will facilitate every employee from onboarding to the end of employment. Ensuring that each employee understands their role, she can engage with everyone. Each aspect allows her to identify areas of opportunity in performance and efficiency, which enables her to work with managers to approve and implement training.
Jennifer Fleck has been named as events coordinator at the Blair County Chamber of Commerce and Megan Rossman as member engagement manager, a newly created position that assists chamber committees in becoming more attuned to member needs.
Fleck has most recently been sales and admissions director at Westminster Woods, a retirement community in Huntingdon County. She was previously marketing and membership director at Explore Altoona and a reporter and weekend anchor at WTAJ-TV.
Rossman was public relations coordinator for ARROW Land Solutions LLC where she planned and executed company events, managed the company's website and social media accounts and coordinated community outreach endeavors and sponsorships.
Awards and honors
Jeff Bartlett, senior account manager, ArcBest Corp., was recently awarded with the company's President's Club award for the seventh consecutive year.
The award is given to sales employees who are in the top 5% in their job classification.
Bartlett is a graduate of Clarion University with 35 years in the freight industry, the last 12 with ArcBest/ABF.
Dan Hoover, co-chair/CEO of Spring Cove Container and Allegheny Mountain Spring Water, will be the 21st recipient of the Blair County Chamber's Lifetime Achievement Award for Business Excellence. That award will be presented at the Business Excellence Dinner, to be held on Oct. 23 at the Blair County Convention Center.
Melanie Henry, an employee of Martin & Company, a full-service marketing solutions firm specializing in building performance automotive aftermarket brands, has received recognition by SEMA News as one of the industry's rising leaders.
Henry, a native of Irvona, was recognized in the September 2023 issue of the industry publication as one of only 35 under the age of 35 to be recognized for her contributions to the U.S. automotive aftermarket. She is active in two SEMA councils, works full time as the communications and traffic manager for Martin & Co. Advertising, and is the founder of her Mel's Car Shows that to date has raised well over $200,000 for charity.
