New hires, promotions
Nanette (Adams) Anslinger of Altoona and formerly of Patton, has become the specialized career & technical education adviser 2 for work based learning with the Pennsylvania Department of Education in Harrisburg.
Anslinger holds a master's degree in workforce education and development from Penn State University and has just finished up her 15th year in education. Anslinger has worked in the Career & Technical Education field for the last nine years of teaching at Altoona Area High School, Greater Altoona Career and Technology Center and most recently, Greater Johnstown CTC.
Awards and honors
Beverly Sullivan, a photo licensed technician at Blair/Clearfield Association for the Blind in Altoona, was one of 31 Pennsylvania workers honored for the exceptional character they demonstrate in living and coping with disabilities, particularly in the workplace. UniqueSource Products and Services celebrated the winners and nominees from across the commonwealth during the annual achievement awards ceremony and banquet held at the Harrisburg Hilton.
Sullivan was honored for her commitment to the customers by ensuring they each have a positive experience. She is always quick to help new employees with questions and ensures that they are OK and not overwhelmed. She was presented with an award plaque and cash prize.
Eva Eagler has been named by Plamondon Hospitality Partners as the 2022 Sales Leader of the Year for her success at the TownePlace Suites by Marriott location in Altoona.
The award was given at the Marriott Select Brands General Manager's Conference Awards Gala in May.
Retirements
Roxann Yon of Altoona, a senior software engineer, has retired from Mutual Benefit Group after 37 years of service.
Yon began her career with MBG in 1986 as a programmer/analyst. Since then, she has held several other positions within the information services department, including director of information services, senior programmer/analyst and senior software engineer.
