Session set on f inancial statement knowledge
Tiffany Wetzel-Sturtz and Emma Walker of Barnes, Saly & Co. wll present "Understanding Financial Statements: How to Read and Use Them," during an online Expertise Matters session from 11 a.m. to noon May 17.
Attendees will learn how to read basic financial statements, including the balance sheet and income statement as well as explore the elements of the financial statement in greater detail ans an understanding the statement of cash flow, be able to calculate basic financial ratios and feel more comfortable using financial statements to make business decisions.

Kings Family Restaurants closes Altoona location
Kings Family Restaurants has closed five of its locations in a sudden move that affected about 130 workers.
The Pittsburgh-area chain announced that its restaurants in Altoona, Bridgeville, Imperial, Harmar Township and Wexford were closing, according to WTAE-TV.
Signs were posted at the front doors to inform visitors that the restaurants were closed and some staff members may have moved to other locations.
That leaves the company with 24 restaurants in western Pennsylvania and one in eastern Ohio.
