UGI nationally recognized
UGI Utilities Inc. was among 45 utility companies nationwide named a 2021 Customer Champion based on the Cogent Syndicated Utility Trusted Brand & Customer Engagement Residential study from Escalent, a human behavior and analytics firm.
The study found the utility industry's focus on its customers, communities and the environment throughout the pandemic elevated its customer engagement, a critical factor in growing company value and influencing energy customer behaviors. Customer engagement also improved as a result of utilities' increasing support for environmental, social and governance efforts.
UGI Utilities is a natural gas and electric utility with headquarters in Denver, Pennsylvania. UGI serves more than 730,000 customers in 45 Pennsylvania counties and one county in Maryland.
Blair calendar created
The Blair County Chamber of Commerce, ArtsAltoona and Explore Altoona have joined forces to create the Blair Events Calendar to reduce the risk of conflicting events.
The calendar will be located on the websites of all three organizations. Other businesses, organizations and school districts will be encouraged to provide a link to the calendar from their sites. Requests to submit an event to the calendar should be sent to blairevents@artsaltoona.org. Those requests are currently being accepted.
The Blair Events Calendar is intended to list events that are open to the public and likely to attract 100 attendees or more.
