WRC and Penn Highlands ink integration agreement

The boards of directors of both WRC Senior Services and Penn Highlands Healthcare have signed a definitive agreement that will integrate WRC Senior Services into the Penn Highlands Healthcare system.

Penn Highlands Healthcare was officially formed on Sept. 30, 2011, and comprises six hospitals — Penn Highlands Brookville, Penn Highlands Clearfield, Penn Highlands DuBois, Penn Highlands Elk, Penn Highlands Huntingdon and Penn Highlands Tyrone.


Conemaugh physicians awarded accreditation

Conemaugh Physician Group – OB/GYN of Johnstown was awarded a three-year term of accreditation by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission in Echocardiography in the area of fetal medicine.

The IAC indicates that Conemaugh Physicians Group-OB/GYN has undergone an intensive application and review process and it found to be in good standing with the published standards. A detailed self-evaluation followed by a thorough review by a panel of medical experts allows the IAC accreditation process to enable both critical operational and technical components of the facility to be assessed.

HRMA sets all-day conference for October

The Human Resource Management Association of Blair County will host an all-day human resources conference from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 20 at Park Hills Country Club.

Keynote speaker Andy Masters, an award winning author and international speaker, will present “HR Leadership Lessons from Hollywood.”

Other presenters include Ed Krow, who will present “Becoming a Person of Influence.” Andre Young, who will present “Leader’s 7”; and Ira S. Wolfe, who will present “Recruiting in the Age of Googlization.”

The event is free to HRMA of Blair County members and $150 for guests and non-HRMA members.
