Local farm store opens

Innovative Extracts, a locally owned CBD and hemp products store, is now open for business at 207½ Market St.

Innovative Extracts LLC is a 100% veteran owned business founded in early 2019 by Andy Golden, Vince Golden and Matt Sinosky.

The company also established the first extraction and post-processing laboratory in the area.

Drayer opens outpatient clinic

Drayer Physical Therapy Institute opened an outpatient clinic at 1104 W. High St., Suite 2.

The clinic operates from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday and Friday.

The clinic offers in-clinic and telehealth options for outpatient orthopedic physical therapy, including manual therapy, injury prevention, return to performance, total joint replacement, concussion management and vestibular rehabilitation programs.

Drayer’s other area clinics include Cresson, Altoona, Altoona-West, Roaring Spring and Tyrone, among more than 50 in Pennsylvania.

Juniata College recognized

Juniata College has been named one of the top 40 best liberal arts colleges in the U.S. in Washington Monthly’s 2021 college rankings. Juniata rose to No. 36, up from No. 73 last year.

The Washington Monthly rankings recognize not only what colleges do for their students but also what those students are doing for their country. The college performed exceptionally well in the category of community and national service, ranking 23rd.

Every Juniata student graduates with a “local engagement” experience as required by the curriculum. Juniata received the Carnegie Community Engagement Classification, indicating institutional commitment to community engagement.
