Remote workers sought
Area organizations are teaming up to attract remote workers to Cambria and Somerset counties.
The Work From Home Cambria Somerset Initiative offers remote workers a $5,000 package to relocate to the area. The program is a collaborative effort of the Cambria Regional Chamber and Somerset County Chamber, Vision Together 2025 and the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies.
This pilot program seeks to attract 10 to 20 remote workers to start, offering them a $2,500 cash payment and an additional $2,500 worth of experiences and benefits tailored to their interests. Accepted candidates would move to the region within six months. People who live in a county adjacent to Cambria or Somerset are not eligible.
