ERIE -- Waldameer Park and Water World will open for the 2020 season on Friday.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the park will be limited to 50% capacity, so there will be no free admission except for children under 1 year old. All guests must purchase admission tickets in advance online at
waldameer.com. No admission tickets will be sold at the park. Guests over 2 years of age will be required to wear masks in the amusement park.
Waldameer has added two new attractions to the park -- a Six-Lane Rally Racer Water Slide and the Whirlwind Family Spinning Coaster.
The park has also added a gourmet popcorn stand, featuring a variety of flavored popcorn, Icee drinks, cotton candy and candy apples.
