New Choices open to job seekers
Pennsylvania Women Work, in partnership with PA CareerLink Blair County, will launch its New Choices program in Altoona to support local job seekers.
The free class will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 24 to 28 at PA CareerLink located inside the Altoona Area Public Library. Lunch will be provided daily.
New Choices will be offered as a weeklong course for those looking to re-enter the workforce or find better employment. Participants receive individualized support and training to help them overcome obstacles and achieve success both personally and professionally. The class is open to both men and women.
“We are excited to offer New Choices in Altoona. For many people, finding employment or obtaining higher paying employment is the first step to achieving financial self-sufficiency and a brighter future,” said Susan Showalter-Bucher, director of programs, PA Women Work.
