WTAJ-TV, Altoona, has been named the winner of a 2014 Regional Edward R. Murrow award by The Radio Television Digital News Association.
WTAJ News was selected as an award recipient in the “Best Breaking News” category for coverage of the bomb threat at the Blair County Courthouse in October.
The Murrow award isn’t the first time WTAJ News has been recognized for its breaking news coverage. WTAJ News has won the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters award for Best Breaking News five years in a row.
