Laura Arias and Broc Smith were united in marriage at 4 p.m. June 30, 2024, at the Veiled Garden at Abernethy Center, Oregon City, Ore.

The bride is the daughter of Ana Hernandez Gomez of Hillsboro, Ore., and Jose Danilo Arias of New York.

The bridegroom is the son of Dave and Kim Smith of Greenwood.

Theresa Tuffli performed the double-ring ceremony.

The bride was given in marriage by her mother. Yina Fisher, sister of the bride, was matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Wanda Madera, Fary Jaquez, Lucy Bondy, Nancy Juarez and Kenia Acosta.

Olivia Smith, niece of the groom, was the flower girl.

Travis Smith, brother of the groom, served as best man.

Groomsmen were Brenden Arruda, Andrew Hoover, Marc Riley, Aaron White and Craig Miles.

The reception was held at The Abernethy Ballroom, Oregon City.

Guest book attendants were Ben and Perla Murphy.

The rehearsal dinner was held at Stanford’s Restaurant, Clackamas, Ore.

The couple took a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico. They live in Hillsboro, Ore.

Mrs. Smith is a 2008 graduate of Martina Mercedes Zouian Polytechnic Institute and a 2015 graduate of Santiago University of Technology in the Dominican Republic with a bachelor of science degree in business administration.

She is a social worker with Northwest Family Services, Portland, Ore.

Mr. Smith is a 2005 graduate of Bishop Guilfoyle High School, Altoona; a 2009 graduate of Lock Haven University, with a bachelor of science degree in chemistry; and a 2015 graduate of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Mich., with a Ph.D. in chemistry.

He is a photolithography engineer at Intel Corp., Hillsboro, Ore.
