Chosen for: Landon was nominated by his teachers and school counselor. His genuine kind heart and work ethic is top notch. He is an excellent student. He is a great friend and person. He goes above and beyond to achieve excellent grades and achieve his goals. He would be honored to receive this award.
Accomplishments: Challenge Program award winner for STEM; High Honor roll every year; Cambria County All-Academic basketball team; 3-year basketball letter winner
Future goals: He will be attending Saint Francis University in the fall to ultimately obtain his master’s degree in physician assistant sciences
Hobbies, community activities and interests: Reading the Bible; greeting at church; hunting and fishing; archery; working out; spending time with friends and family.
Most influential teacher and why: Mrs. Jessica Burlingame. She teaches Advanced U.S. History 2, Government and Economics, and Personal Finance. She teaches lessons that apply both to the classroom and in the real world. She doesn’t solely focus on material, but we also learn how to work hard while making smart decisions. Her teaching has helped me grow not only academically but also personally.
Heroes: Jesus Christ is my hero because even when I didn’t deserve it, he gave me a second chance and saved me from my sin.
