WISE Women of Blair County and the Donna D. Gority scholarship have extended the deadline for applications for scholarship assistance.

One or more scholarships will be awarded up to a total of $10,000. Deadline for applications is

4 p.m. Friday, April 18.

The completed applications must be received by U.S. postal mail to WISE Women, P.O. Box 134,

Hollidaysburg, PA 16648 or emailed to info@wisewomenofblaircounty.org.

Scholarships will be available to Blair County resident females 21 years of age or older who have overcome adversity or discrimination in their lives and who are pursuing post-secondary education. The scholarship is not available for a masters, doctorate or a second bachelor’s degree. Scholarships are awarded through the Central Pennsylvania Community Foundation.

The Gority scholarship would go to a woman whose adversity and/or whose education/career aspirations are in an area that Donna Gority has been involved with in the community. Every application will be considered for both the WISE Women and Gority scholarships. Applications for scholarships include two essay questions.
