Carolyn Dumm of Altoona and Francis Horne of Ebensburg are engaged to be married.

Miss Dumm is the daughter of Patrick J. and Virginia M. Dumm of Altoona and the granddaughter of Robert M. and Martha V. (Peters) Jones of Altoona and Clair J. and Mary D. (McDermott) Dumm of Ebensburg.

She is a 2021 graduate of Altoona Area High School and a 2026 graduate of Mount Aloysius College, Cresson. She is a Registered Nurse at the James E Van Zandt VA Medical Center, Altoona.

Mr. Horne is the son of Dennis R. and Theodora A. Horne of Ebensburg and the grandson of Theodore J. and Helen R. (Falkowski) Blovat of Richland and Francis A. and Rita A. (Litzinger) Horne of Patton.

He is a 2015 graduate of Central Cambria High School, Ebensburg, and a 2019 graduate of New York Maritime Academy. He served with the U.S. Coast Guard, LTJG, Ret. He is a fourth-generation partner at Horne Insurance, continuing his family’s business.

The wedding will take place Feb. 4, 2027, at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Altoona.
