Joseph W. Brown and Maryjoy Gregory of Cheswick are engaged to be married.

Joseph is the son of Robert W. Brown Jr. of Blandburg and Bobbi Jo Warren of Altoona.

Maryjoy is the daughter of the late Ken and Elaine Gregory of Coalport.

Both are 2006 graduates of Glendale Junior-Senior High School.

Joseph, an O.I.F. Army veteran, earned a bachelor of science in photography from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 2014 and operates his own photography business specializing in tintype photography.

Maryjoy earned a bachelor of science and master of science from Penn State in 2010 and 2013 in communication sciences and disorders.

In 2017, she earned a master of education in deaf education from St. Joseph’s University.

She works as a faculty member in the Speech Language Pathology and Audiology program at Ithaca College.

The couple is planning an elopement in Iceland in the fall of 2025.
