Dr. Anna Bistline of Philadelphia and Dr. Aric Berning of Pittsburgh are engaged to be married.
Dr. Bistline is the daughter of Jay and Maryann Bistline of Altoona.
She is a 2012 graduate of Altoona Area High School; a 2016 graduate of Juniata College, Huntingdon, with a bachelor of science degree; and a 2020 graduate of Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, with her medical degree.
She is a dermatology resident at Jefferson Health, Philadelphia.
Dr. Berning is the son of Duane Berning of Aiken, S.C., and the late Kathryn Berning.
He is a 2010 graduate of Aiken High School and a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, where he received his bachelor's degree in 2014, his master's degree in 2018 and his medical degree in 2020.
He is a radiology resident at UPMC Pittsburgh.
The wedding will take place on Oct. 8, 2022, at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Altoona.
