Miss Pfiester is the daughter of Thomas Pfiester and Karen Glass of Altoona.
She is a 2008 graduate of Altoona Area High School and a 2018 graduate of Penn State Altoona, with a bachelor of science degree in early childhood education. She is pursuing a master of education degree in curriculum and instruction with a focus on teaching leadership at Point Park University, Pittsburgh.
She is a second-grade teacher in the Bellwood-Antis School District.
Mr. Martin is the son of Fred and Mary Lou Martin of Tyrone.
He is a 2000 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School, a 2004 graduate of Penn State Altoona with a bachelor of science degree in life science and a 2007 graduate of Penn State University, University Park, with a master of education degree in curriculum and instruction.
He is pursuing a doctor of education degree in leadership and innovation at Arizona State University. He is an eighth-grade science teacher in the Bellwood-Antis School District.
The wedding will take place on May 21, 2022, at the Railroaders Memorial Museum in Altoona.
