Miss Filer is the daughter of Ralph and Christine Filer of Altoona.
She is a 2008 graduate of Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic High School, Altoona; a 2012 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor's degree in nursing; and a 2018 graduate of York College of Pennsyl-vania with a master's degree in nurse anesthesia.
She is a certified registered nurse anesthetist at Anesthesia Associates of York.
Mr. Martin is the son of David Martin and Linda Martin, both of Linesville.
He is a 2003 graduate of Linesville High School; a 2007 graduate of Waynesburg University with a bachelor's degree in nursing; and a 2014 graduate of York College of Pennsylvania with a master's degree in nurse anesthesia.
He is a certified registered nurse anesthetist at Anesthesia Associates of York.
An Oct. 19 wedding is being planned at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Altoona.
