Emily McCloskey and Gabriel Skelley, both of Altoona, are engaged to be married.
Miss McCloskey is the daughter of Eugene and Tina McCloskey of Altoona.
She is a 2012 graduate of Altoona Area High School and a 2016 graduate of Allegany College of Maryland, Cumberland, Md., with an associate degree in dental hygiene.
She is a registered dental hygienist at Kotary, Detar & Associates, State College.
Mr. Skelley is the son of Steve and Linda Skelley of Altoona.
He is a 2012 graduate of Altoona Area High School and a 2016 graduate of Juniata College, Hunting-don, with a bachelor's degree in wildlife conservation.
He is employed at the Van Zandt VA Medical Center, Altoona.
An Aug. 18 wedding is planned at Diamond Lane Farm, Roaring Spring.
