Miss Balestino is the daughter of Dave and Terri Balestino of Altoona.
She is a 2004 graduate of Altoona Area High School and a graduate of Penn State Altoona, where she earned an associate degree in nursing in 2013 and a bachelor's degree in nursing in 2014.
She is a registered nurse at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.
Mr. Raia is the son of Joe and Charmayne Raia of Altoona.
He is a 2002 graduate of Altoona Area High School and a 2008 graduate of Penn State Altoona with a bachelor's degree in psychology and criminal justice.
He is employed by State College Borough.
An Oct. 7 wedding is being planned at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Port Matilda.
