Tyrone Events & Promotions looking for ‘Hometown Hero’

The Tyrone Events and Promotions Committee is looking for the next “Hometown Hero 2025.” Since 2006, the committee has selected individuals from the community th have unselfishly donated their time and energies to programs and projects that benefit the residents outside of their employmen. The “Hometown Hero” is a person who seems to be always there, always involved in something and working to make the community a better place to live and work. Hollidaysburg library sets programs for November

The Hollidaysburg Area Public Library has announced its activities for November. The library will be closed Nov. 11 for Veterans Day, closing early at 2 p.m. on Nov. 26, and closed Nov. 27, 28, 29 and 30 for the Thanksgiving holiday. n Canasta and Mah Jongg games are held at 11 a.m. Mondays. Beginners are welcome. n Maker Mondays are held all day Mondays in the Children’s Room.
