Bedford Historical Society announces new exhibit, new operating hours

The Bedford County Historical Society will be closed on Mondays and Wednesdays beginning Nov. 1. The Society will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

The Bedford County Historical Society is featuring an exhibit by the Southampton Historical Society from October through December.

Southampton Township's roots go back over 400 years to the original Thomas Powell Expedition. Southampton is home to the Saltpeter Cave and the Lost Run Cave both of which are available by tour. Call 814-623-2011 or email bedfordhistory@embarqmail.com for more information
