Students honor 9/11 heroes

On Sept. 11, Summer Carson’s second grade class at Frankstown Elementary read “Fireboat,” the true story of a retired fireboat that helped firefighters after the events of Sept. 11, 2001. The class talked about the importance of courage, kindness and helping others during difficult times. To honor the heroes of 9/11, students created American flags and took time to remember the brave firefighters, first responders and everyday heroes who helped others.
