Cambria County Arts & Heritage Festival set for Sept. 12-13 at Duman Lake Park

The ninth annual Cambria County Arts & Heritage Festival will be held Sept. 12-13 at Duman Lake Park, sponsored by the Laurel Highlands Historical Village.
The two-day event will feature arts and crafts vendors, food vendors, artisans, nonprofit organizations, living history groups, military reenactors, antique tractors and community agencies. Entertainment will include music, dancers, artists, jugglers, clowns, magicians and other traveling performers.
Historical demonstrations will include Civil War battle reenactments and military encampments representing different eras. The Barony of St. Swithin's Bog will demonstrate 16th-century skills and feature a small-scale village.
The Pennsylvania State Police will display equipment and offer activities that include fingerprinting children. Various military organizations will also participate.
An opening ceremony honoring veterans is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday. Participants are asked to muster at 9:30 a.m. at the large-field wedding pavilion.
Families can enjoy the park's playground and outdoor activities, including hiking, biking, fishing, boating, camping and wildlife observation.
Nonprofit organizations can participate at no cost. Vendor spaces, including covered spaces in park pavilions, are available. Camping spaces also are available but are expected to fill quickly.
