The Van Zandt VA Medical Center will host a veterans enrollment fair Saturday, Aug. 8, at its new Huntingdon Community Based Outpatient Clinic, offering information on VA health care enrollment and available services.
The event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at the clinic, 10892 Fairgrounds Road, Huntingdon.
Veterans and their caregivers are invited to attend to learn about health care services available through the VA, including those offered at the Altoona medical center and the new Huntingdon clinic. VA enrollment and eligibility specialists will be available to assist eligible veterans with enrolling in VA health care.
Representatives from Women's Health, Primary Care Social Work, Suicide Prevention and the Veterans Benefits Administration also will be on hand.
The enrollment fair is open to all veterans, regardless of where they live. Veterans planning to enroll should bring a copy of their DD-214, insurance information and financial information from the previous year to help expedite the enrollment process.
