As part of "America 250" activities at the Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg, a time capsule was placed into a special hollow cavity in a wall at the main entrance on Newry Street.
The capsule, named "Blessings," contains numerous items and is to be opened in 50 years.
Among those participating in the event were Taylor Shaw, nursing; Andrew Stenger, maintenance; and Rily Amerine, community life.
Each of these employees hope to return for the American Tricentennial in 2076 to retrieve and convey "Blessing" to the then current staff.
