The Railroaders Memorial Museum will host historian Mark Glenn at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, as part of its 2026 Along the Broadway: Historical Lecture Series. Glenn will present "The Unique Blair Gap Water System for PRR Shops," exploring how the Pennsylvania Railroad Shops in Altoona secured the water needed to operate steam locomotives and the massive shop complex.
Doors open at 6 p.m. in the Seidel Auditorium. Admission is $5. Seating is limited. Tickets are available at the door, on the museum's website and through its Facebook page.
