Bedford Players to stage ‘Broadway: A Tour Through the Eras’

The Bedford County Players invite audiences to celebrate nearly a century of Broadway magic with "Broadway: A Tour Through the Eras," a one-of-a-kind cabaret performance at 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, at the Bedford County Playhouse.
Rather than telling Broadway's story in chronological order, this unique cabaret takes audiences on a fun musical adventure through different "eras," each with its own style, energy and personality.
From timeless classics to modern favorites, the performance showcases the variety of Broadway while highlighting the talents of local performers.
The program features songs from beloved musicals including "The Sound of Music," "Annie Get Your Gun," "Chicago," "Newsies," "Hadestown," "Wicked," "Les Misérables," "Man of La Mancha," "Hair," "The Great Gatsby," "Beauty and the Beast," "Frozen," "Show Boat," "Hamilton" and more.
Baked goods and refreshments will be available for purchase. All proceeds benefit the Bedford County Players and their continued efforts to bring quality live theater to the region.
